Position: Part-Time Budtender

Job Summary:
This is a Part-Time role. The Budtender is a key team member at our dispensary and is responsible for providing unique customer service experiences, educational consulting, and in some cases customer record management.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers with a smile and positive attitude.
  • Assist customers in navigating through their cannabis education journey.
  • Build lasting relationships with regular customers to promote regular store visits.
  • Partner with team members in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.
  • Provide customers with information on types, methods, and efficacy of various cannabis products (we do not provide medical advice).
  • Continue on-going cannabis education and training.
  • Provide support to managers and other budtenders as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation/store front.
  • Review online orders to ensure accuracy before pick-up.
  • Understand and apply detailed compliance regulations as required by local and state laws.
  • Stock, merchandise, and replenish displays of regulated and unregulated inventory.
  • Process transactions at the Point of Sale (POS) system and ensure the state monitored inventory system accurately updates the amount of product available.
  • Regular rotation of working at front desk, checking ID’s and greeting customers.

 
Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of retail or hospitality (customer facing) experience.
  • Must be 21 years of age and able to register as a cannabis agent with the state.
  • Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds unassisted, stand and walk in excess of 5+ hours per day.
  • Ability to squat, kneel, bend over, and reach with little or no assistance. 
  • Comfortable working in a demanding high-volume, fast-paced retail environment.
  • Desire to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes, and product application/consumption methods.
  • Ability to use office equipment (computers and printers) and their included software i.e. Word, Excel, email, etc.
  • Learn and understand Federal, State, and local laws relating to the cannabis industry and safety regulations.

 
Physical and Mental Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and/or position oneself, communicate, operate and/or prepare, place, position objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 30 lb. Specific hearing abilities required by this job include hearing in the normal audio range with or without correction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual, with or without reasonable accommodation, to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
 
Working Environment:
