Key Responsibilities:

  • Warm Welcomes: Greet every customer with a smile and a positive attitude, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Customer Assistance: Assist customers in navigating through their cannabis education journey.
  • Relationship Building: Build lasting relationships with regular customers to promote frequent visits.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner with team members in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.
  • Product Expertise: Provide customers with information on types, methods, and efficacy of various cannabis products (without providing medical advice).
  • Ongoing Learning: Commit to continuous education and training on cannabis products and industry trends.
  • Support Role: Provide support to managers and other budtenders as needed.
  • Store Maintenance: Keep the workstation and storefront clean, organized, and sanitized.
  • Order Accuracy: Review online orders for accuracy before pick-up.
  • Compliance Adherence: Understand and apply detailed compliance regulations required by local and state laws.
  • Inventory Management: Stock, merchandise, and replenish displays of regulated and unregulated inventory.
  • POS Management: Process transactions at the POS, ensuring the state-monitored inventory system accurately updates the amount of product available.
  • Front Desk Rotation: Regularly work at the front desk, checking IDs and greeting customers.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of retail or hospitality (customer-facing) experience.
  • Age Requirement: Must be 21 years of age and able to register as a cannabis agent with the state.
  • Physical Capability: Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds unassisted and standing/walking for 5+ hours per day. Ability to squat, kneel, bend over, and reach with little or no assistance.
  • Work Environment: Comfortable working in a demanding high-volume, fast-paced retail environment.
  • Passion for Learning: Desire to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes, and various product application/consumption methods.
  • Tech Savvy: Ability to use office equipment (computers and printers) and related software (Word, Excel, email).
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Willing to learn and understand federal, state, and local laws related to the cannabis industry and safety regulations.
