Key Responsibilities:

  • Warm Welcomes: Greet every customer with a smile and a positive attitude, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with regular inventory cycle counts, promptly reporting any discrepancies to leadership.
  • Product Handling: Safely retrieve cannabis products from the vault and provide them to Budtenders for customer transactions.
  • Cannabis Advocacy: Serve as an advocate for cannabis customer care, helping customers on their education journey.
  • Operational Support: Open and close the store as directed by management, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Compliance Assurance: Verify all products are tagged correctly per state and local regulations and ensure all necessary paperwork is in order.
  • Inventory Reconciliation: Support the Inventory Manager in maintaining accurate inventory records within the state tracking system and POS systems.
  • Order Accuracy: Review online orders for accuracy before pick-up and ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • Product Expertise: Assist Budtenders with any product or POS system questions, providing knowledgeable support.
  • Customer Relationships: Build and maintain lasting relationships with regular customers, encouraging frequent visits.
  • Transaction Accuracy: Handle cash transactions accurately, including bank drops and daily payouts as needed.
  • Educational Guidance: Provide customers with detailed information on cannabis products, including types, methods, and efficacy (excluding medical advice).
  • Ongoing Learning: Commit to continuous education and training on cannabis products and industry trends.
  • Store Maintenance: Keep the workstation and storefront clean, organized, and sanitized.
  • Compliance Adherence: Understand and apply detailed compliance regulations required by local and state laws.
  • Point of Sale Management: Process transactions at the POS, ensuring the state-monitored inventory system is accurately updated.
  • Versatile Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support overall dispensary operations.


  • Experience: 2+ years in retail or hospitality (customer-facing) roles.
  • Age: Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Passion for Learning: Eager to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes, and various product application/consumption methods.
  • Scheduling Flexibility: Ability to accommodate scheduling demands, including weekends, regular shifts, and applicable holidays.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient in using office equipment (computers and printers) and related software (Word, Excel, email).
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Willing to learn and understand federal, state, and local laws related to the cannabis industry and safety regulations.
